’The Last of Us’ HBO Trailer Brings the Video Game to Life
As part of “The Last of Us Day”, HBO has opened the can of zombies by releasing the very first teaser trailer for the upcoming live-action series.

The day commemorates the day the zombie outbreak began in the video game, and also a tease of what the HBO intro will look like for the show:

The platform plans to release the series in early 2023, after it wrapped production early this summer. It things go according to plan, it will be eligible for next year’s Emmy Awards. The cast includes Bella Ramsey, Pedro Pascal, Gabriel Luna, Merle Dandridge, Nico Parker, Murray Bartlett, Nick Offerman, Jeffrey Pierce, and Anna Torv. Neil Druckmann, Co-President of Naughty Dog, is also the co-creator, executive producer, writer, and director of The Last of Us, along with Chernobyl writer Craig Mazin. Carolyn Strauss, Evan Wells, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Rose Lam are Executive Producers. Kantemir Balagov, Jasmila Žbanić, Ali Abbasi, Peter Hoar, Jeremy Webb, and Liza Johnson are Directors.
